LNG/LCNG Refilling Equipment

An LNG Refueling Station and an L-CNG Refueling Station are cryogenic fueling infrastructures designed to supply clean energy to natural gas vehicles. While an LNG station dispenses fuel directly as a liquid, an L-CNG station uses liquid storage as its supply base but vaporizes it to dispense high-pressure gas.

An LNG station stores natural gas in its liquid state (-162°C / -260°F) and dispenses it directly into cryogenic vehicle tanks.

 

Key Features

- Direct Liquid Dispensing: Uses low-pressure cryogenic pumps to transfer liquid LNG into vehicle tanks at fast flow rates.

- Low Auxiliary Power: Requires relatively low electrical power to operate since pumping liquid demands significantly less energy than compressing gas.

- Compact Footprint: Stores high-density energy in cryogenic tanks, requiring far less physical space than large bank cascades of high-pressure gas cylinders.

- Long-Haul Freight & Logistics: Fleet fueling along highway transport corridors for heavy-duty trucks and intercity buses requiring extended driving ranges.

- Marine & Port Terminals: Bunkering stations for LNG-powered harbor tugs, ferries, and inland cargo vessels.

L-CNG Refueling Station

L-CNG Refueling Station

An L-CNG station receives and stores fuel as liquid LNG, but uses high-pressure cryogenic pumps and air-heated vaporizers to convert the liquid into Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) at ambient temperature and high pressure (200–250 bar) for dispensing.

 

Key Features

- High Efficiency & Low Energy Costs: Liquid is pressurized prior to vaporization, which consumes up to 80% less electricity compared to conventional CNG stations using multi-stage gas compressors.

- Dual-Fuel Versatility: Capable of dispensing both LNG and CNG from a single liquid storage supply to serve diverse vehicle fleets.

High-Purity Gas Output: Cryogenic treatment removes moisture and heavy hydrocarbons during liquefaction, providing cleaner CNG fuel to end users.

 

Primary Applications

- Urban & Municipal Transit Depots: Refueling centers for city buses, municipal waste trucks, and short-haul delivery vans running on CNG.

- Off-Grid CNG Refueling: Fueling stations located in regions without access to high-pressure natural gas pipelines, utilizing trucked LNG as the base supply.
